About this tool

Speak into your microphone and watch words appear in real time. The browser streams audio through its built-in speech engine — nothing is uploaded to a server. Interim (in-progress) results appear in grey while you speak; finalized segments are added with a timestamp once the engine commits to them.

Tips

Works best in Chrome or Edge on desktop.
Speaking naturally with short pauses produces the best accuracy.
Switch languages before starting — the language cannot be changed mid-session.
Export as .md to get a timestamped notes file ready for any Markdown editor.

Web Speech API — SpeechRecognition for continuous, real-time speech-to-text. Runs entirely in the browser using the OS/browser speech engine.
